I think this new government initiative will work as rewarding the customers with a set of reusable utensils or a free drink provides incentives for them to turn down plastic cutlery at restaurants. I will be turning down plastic cutlery because of the initiative .

    1. Yes, I think this new government initiative will work because I think the new government will make some activities like without plastic straws and this activities will on Mondays and made by Mcdonald's. Yes, I will turning down plastic cutlery because of the initiative and do it as cha chaan teng.
    2. Yes, I can think of other initiatives to reduce the use of plastic, e.g. using wasted materials like papers, organic fruit, plastic bottles, etc. to make some handmades like clay. Also, these handmades can put by us on the bed or on our own desk.

    1. Yes.
    2. I think the restaurants can add more discounts to attract more people reduce the use of plastics. Also, the government can consider to advertise the harmful of using plastics to change people's mind.

I think that this plan will work. My family and I will also support it. We can reduce a lot of plastic if this plan works. Hope that citizens can help to protect the environment together. I think that the government should also organize different activities for the public, so that they can understand more about protecting the environment. The government should also think of other different ways and lead Hong Kong to a more environmental friendly city. That will reduce our precious resources on earth. We can also prevent the terrible natural disasters in the future. If the Hong Kong citizens like this plan, Hong Kong will be a better city for our next generation. Moreover, I found out that some restaurants are very environmentally friendly, they don't give the costumers straws ( only if the costumer asks for it). Some restaurants replace plastic straws with paper straws. I think it is not too good. Paper is also the precious materials we have on earth. We have to cherish it. I hope that Hong Kong will be a greener city. People should also follow the 5-Rs, which means: 1. Repair 2. Replace 3. Recycle 4. Reduce 5. Reuse. If the citizens start planning their greener life, I'm sure that Hong Kong will be greener and greener.
