    1. Why has the government introduced the medical voucher scheme?
    2. It is suggested that the medical voucher scheme is not achieving its intended goals. What do you think the government should do about this?

1.Because the government wants the elderly use the voucher to visit private doctor , but not the public clinic or hospital services . Otherwise , the hospital and clinic can't handle much more elderly patients , and the problem still going on .
I think government should ban that voucher can be use in public hospital and clinic , it can help those hospital to decrease more elderly to use the services effectively .

    1. To have less patients to use public clinics and more patients to see private practice doctors.
    2. I think the government should change the use of the medical voucher that it only uses for visiting private practice doctors.

    1. Because the gov want to encourage the elderly from going to the private clinic, to release the pressure that public clinic facing.
    2. The gov should solve this problem by provides a better system of the public clinic. For examples, the allocation of manpower and personnel training.

The government has introduced the medical voucher scheme to encourage elderly patients to see private practice doctors instead of flocking to public hospitals as an attempt to reduce the overcrowding in public hospitals. Now, this scheme is apparently not working as the elderly are seeing more of both public and private practice hospitals and doctors respectively, which may not be good for chronic illnesses as different doctors prescribe different medicine. Ithink that the government should not try to resolve this problem by giving out more vouchers and discounts, instead 'educating' them about the serious overcrowding problem, as in 'Knowing stops doing'.

    1. The Pilot Scheme aims to supplement existing public healthcare services (e.g. General Out-patient and Specialist Out-patient Clinics) by providing financial incentive for elders to choose private healthcare services that best suit their needs, including preventive care. It is in addition to the existing public healthcare services, which will continue to be made available to elders after the introduction of Elderly Health Care Voucher. By encouraging elders to seek consultation and establish a closer relationship with private doctors who are familiar with their health conditions, it also helps promote the concept of family doctor.

    2. Well, i that the government should maybe fund the hospitals or instead maybe also allocate the voucher to be used in all hospitals.

    1. The scheme has been made so as to ease the elderly burden of paying medical fee to clinics.
    2. I think the government should give some funding or donate to the hospitals, this way the medical fees in hospital might tend to decrease.
