    Hello,
May I know is it still the common practice to chop the books
once on every 25 pages? I have used this practice for 5 years ( I have the TL Diploma training )
and this year I have a new partner in
the library claiming that it is free to chop any pages in the book and I want
to know if any libraries are now having a new chopping system other than every
    other 25 pages??

    Thanks a lot.

Yes, it is free to chop depends on various libraries.
I chop on page 7. If the total pages of a boook is over 100, then chop on page 7, page 70, page 170 etc.

When chopping the books, the number of page to jump is up to you, that's different for every library. It's also a "sign" or "code" for your staff to recognize the books from your library.

    e.g. you may chop:
    25, 50, 75, 100, 125...
    7, 57, 107, 157...

    Follow the tradition is ok.
