You can know more about organ donation here.

    1. Do you think the new Octopus card will help increase the organ donation rate? Why?

    2. Why is the organ donation rate in Hong Kong low? Why don’t people want to donate their organs if they passed away?

    1. Do you think the new Octopus card will help increase the organ donation rate? Why?
Not really. It is because the card is only cheaper that the original one by $15, and is not necessary to buy it.

    1. I don't think so. I think the government should educate and promote from primary school.
2.It's because the Chinese tradition is to have a full body after deceased. Also, most family members of the donor do not want to disturb the deceased when they passed away.

    1. Yes. I think the octopus card can help to promote the organ donation as many people will use it everyday.
    2. Most of the Chinese would like to have a full body after dead so it is very difficult to ask them to donate their organs.

    1. Do you think the new Octopus card will help increase the organ donation rate? Why?

Yes, I think so because it will increase the awareness of organ donation by launching a new convenient registration method.

    2. Why is the organ donation rate in Hong Kong low? Why don’t people want to donate their organs if they passed away?

It might be because of the family don't know their deceased family member has registered for the organ donation and hence miss the opportunitiy.

    1. No,because this card are not well promoted and people think it is not necessary to use such a card.
    2. Many people want to keep their whole bodies after their death because of the traditional thinking so they refuse to sign up to be a organ donor.

    1. Do you think the new Octopus card will help increase the organ donation rate? Why?
No, it is because I don't think the new Octopus cards can affect the decision of the families of the deceased.

    2. Why is the organ donation rate in Hong Kong low? Why don’t people want to donate their organs if they passed away?

Although Hong Kong is a western style city, Hong Kong people are still having traditional way of thinkings. The families of the death would not prefer the body of their loved one being cut.

    1. Do you think the new Octopus card will help increase the organ donation rate? Why?
No, because I think people will not increase their awareness towards organ donate by promoting this new octopus card.

    2. Why is the organ donation rate in Hong Kong low? Why don’t people want to donate their organs if they passed away?
I think the reason of low organ donation rate in Hong Kong is because Hong Kong people still carry a Chinese traditional thinking. And people don't want to donate their organs because they may think that their families will not accept.

Yes I think the new Octopus card will help increase the organ donation rate because it can make the process more simpler for the one who want to donate their organ.

Do you think the new Octopus card will help increase the organ donation rate? Why?
Yes, it will. It's because people will use this card for shopping, he or she will carries this card all the time. If he or she die, we will know that he had signed up for the organ donation scheme.

Why is the organ donation rate in Hong Kong low? Why don’t people want to donate their organs if they passed away?
It's because many times when someone died, the family of the deceased did not know whether their loved one had signed up for the organ donation scheme.

1.No, it is because most people do not know more the porject, so I think the government need to do more propagate and have some lecture to tell people more about the project. And most people have already had the Octopus card the do not need to have one more,so I think this function will not increase the organ donation rate.
2.It is because the family of the people who have already death do not know the he or she have sign the donation sheme. I think there are some old mind people who want a complete body when they were die.

    1. No, I think even we use the octopus card everyday, the people not really remember it's use is used for donor the organs.
    2. I think it's because Chinese people would like to have full body after they/their family died, they don't want to lose any part of the body, so it's difficult to call the deceased family to donor the organ of the died person.
